Location Announced for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2020

ITV bosses have confirmed the filming location for the 2020 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
Fans of the show were concerned after various travel restrictions, imposed due to the pandemic, put the show’s production in limbo. With filming usually taking place in Springbrook National Park in Queensland, Australia, the transportation of crew and equipment down under, as well as adhering to social distancing protocols, seemed an impossibility.
However, the show’s producers confirmed earlier this year that a 20th series of the popular celebrity reality show would take place in the UK during the winter, and the latest statement has announced Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, to be the chosen location.
Built in 1825, and scenically situated on the Welsh north coast, the castle has long been considered one of Wales’ most treasured historical monuments, sitting on a site dating back over 2000 years and having been rebuilt after years of neglect and ruin.
The show is famous for its challenges and bushtucker trials, designed to take celebrities out of their comfort zones and to confront their fears, which will be making a comeback as well. And while the environment may be a little closer to home than the remote jungle of Oz, this year’s as yet unconfirmed cast may be forced to experience horror of a different kind.
The castle is allegedly home to a number of ghostly spirits, with guests reporting disembodied voices and footsteps, rattling chains, and unseen forces pushing them on the stairs. With the celebrities being forced to spend 24 hours a day in the dark halls of the castle, are we likely to see any supernatural occurrences ourselves?
Gwrych Castle is certainly in keeping with the tone of isolation seen in previous years, although the wildlife may be slightly less exotic.
The Shining (1980)

Thanks to the king of horror, Stephen King, and thanks to Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of the book, a masterpiece was made for all to see, be spooked by and, after all, enjoy. Jack Torrance’s family and story, fuelled some conspiracy theories that are still discussed today, and, will without a doubt continue to feed our imaginations. From RedRum written on the walls to the famous blood scene, The Shining will definitely give you a new perspective when it comes to this genre.
The Omen (1976)

Pets, ghosts and clowns are the main ingredients when creating a horror movie, but in Richard Donner’s movie, The Omen, we encounter something completely different. The perfect father figure begins a journey only to discover that his son is the Antichrist. The Omen must be on your Halloween list either if you already saw it or not.
Nosferatu(1922)

Surrounded by controversy, Nosferatu is the first film that introduced vampires on the big screen and survived to this day. The silence of the masterpiece only adds an eerie feeling, taking us back in time, enjoying a fuller experience. This classic must be on everyone’s watch list!
Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)

An American gothic that brings on the screen not only great actors, but the story from which all the vampire films were born. Having Garry Oldman as Count Dracula, Winona Rider as Mina Harker and Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing, the movie is a masterpiece at least, that romanticises the heart of the Count, bringing the terror of the story back to life at the same time.
Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

An eerie film that intrigues the audience despite having a very straight forward plot. Roman Polanski shows us how a perfectly normal couple is teared apart by the devil himself, meticulously hiding in the details, resulting the birth of Satan’s spawn. A story that will not only captivate your attention, but will definitely accelerate your pulse.

New Trailer for Marvel’s ‘WandaVision’ Flies In

The fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has quite managed to take flight yet. While Black Widow was meant to be released this summer, and Eternals was set to land in November, both films have had to have their release dates shuffled as the world continues to react to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Should that reshuffling continue into the end of the year, there’s a strong chance that phase four may well begin on TV in the form of the hotly anticipated Disney + shows. The Falcon and The Winter Soildier is still out filming, but it looks like WandaVision may almost be ready to unleash upon the world.
With Vision (Paul Bettany) meeting his end by the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, it would seem Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is having a little trouble letting go. Constructing fantasies of idyllic sitcom-esque suburban life, Wanda and Vision attempt to live as sweet a life as possible. But how long can that fantasy be maintained?
Here’s the full trailer for WandaVision:
As the Marvel franchise has developed, it has gained the confidence to get more ambitious, more adventurous, and much more weird. If this trailer is anything to go by, WandaVision looks to be their oddest tale yet. With echoes of comic book faithful costume recreations, to the emulating of different sitcom styles, from Bewitched to Full House, WandaVision looks set to take fans on a mind-bending trip where the line between illusion and reality is blurred, delivering a Marvel tale unlike anything fans have seen before.
While no set date has been announced, it looks at though WandaVision is still aiming for a 2020 release on Disney+, with a December launch looking most likely.
