Sony has released a new teaser trailer for it’s upcoming flagship console The PlayStation 5.

In the new teaser video titled ‘Play Has No Limits’ Sony showcases the new consoles impressive graphics, new generation audio capabilities, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers which Sony is betting on to unleash the next generation of console gaming.

The console was announced back in 2019 as the successor to the hugely successful PlayStation 4 and is set to launch sometime in late 2020. The PlayStation 5 is slated to be launched in two varieties.

The first maintaining the disc format incorporating an Ultra HD Blu-ray compatible optical disc drive alongside digital distribution via the PlayStation Store.

The alternative lower-cost version will be lacking a disc drive where games will have to be downloaded.

The PlayStation 5 will feature a customised solid state drive for high-speed data streaming which should enable significant improvements in graphical performance.

The hardware also features a custom AMD GPU capable of ray tracing, which has until now only been available on high-end PC graphics cards such as Nvidia’s RTX series.

The PS5 will have support for 4K resolution displays and a new audio hardware for real-time 3D audio effects.
