2020 Fall Lipstick Shades
Published
7 months agoon
Scented candles, more coffee and caramel, cold but candid views, yes, that’s right, fall is already here, giving us the last warm embrace before winter comes. This means that our SPF lip balms will finally be replaced with the hottest fall/winter shades for 2020. Here is the top 10 lipstick shades for this fall!
1. Killin’ It by Tarte
Did anyone say Chocolate Berry? Berry shade with just a hint of chocolate brown, makes you remember the 90’s trends. Can you guess the best part? Well, it has a formula that makes it last all day.
2. Crush by Anastasia Beverly Hills
A matte formula that won’t dry your lips, very comfortable and soft. Get a splash of pink to make your fall outfit more vibrant, it’s delicate and it has discreet undertones that makes it perfect for a varied range of skin tones.
3. Cliché by Makeup Revolution
Always surprising their customers, Makeup Revolution has the best eggplant shade out there, one that needs to be in every girl’s purse. The texture os this lipstick makes it feel very good on your lips, hydrating them.
4. Blackmail by Urban Decay
A shade that will completely change your makeup game once applied. An iconic shade that everyone must have, and now that fall is here, you definitely need this one. It saves you a lot of time in the morning because you can use it alone, no need to apply anything else on your face.
5. 999 by Dior
Dior is the most iconic brand when it comes to shades of red, either glossy or matte. This is their signature colour and boy, we can understand why! Fiery, passionate and feminine, with coral undertones, perfect for every skin tone. This shade is available with both satin and matte finish, so take your time and make the right choice.
6. Staycation by Huda Beauty
The Power Bullet Matte Lipstick in Staycation is playing on a completely different level. Beige has been among the best shades for quite some time now, and it is clearly that it won’t go away too soon, especially now in the fall. You can see this shade as a season opener, and it will be immediately followed by more darker and moody shades for late fall and winter.
7.Play with Fire by Rimmel London
So, are you playing with fire or not? Because we definitely are! It lasts up to 16 h, one side has the deep red shade and the other provides the shine and moisture! Also, if you hurry, you might find it half price on both Amazon and WeSellCosmetics.
8. Salted Caramel Mocha by Beauty Bakerie
Come on now, the name itself makes it the perfect fall shade. A neutral brown with warm undertones and matte finish. It is waterproof, it has a lot of pigment, and well, it lasts all day. What could you possibly want more?
9. Pumpkin Rose by Fenty Beauty
Fenty Beauty turned into a must brand quite fast, everyone owns or wants to own at least a product. Thanks to Riri we can all enjoy a Pumpkin shade for fall! Why didn’t anyone think of this before? It’s genius! This gold and orange mixture with tints of rose makes it perfect for people who don’t necessarily enjoy the typical fall shades.
10. Bronze Astral by Pat McGrath
Lip Fetish Lip Balm by Pat McGrath, the right choice if you want to stick to summer a bit longer even though October is around the corner. It has glitter, bronzy aspect, orangey and everything nice, everything to make you a walking reminder of what summer is!
Whether you have plenty of time on your hands, feel like drugstore products don’t have results, or simply want to get creative, here is a list with some unexpected ingredients you probably have in your house right now, that will spice up your beauty routine.
YouTubers and Influencers all over the internet told and showed us the effects and results you can get from a simple Aloe mask for example. It is beneficial not only for hair but for skin as well. But let’s be real, not everyone has an Aloe plant in their homes. So, what can you possibly use right now and also see immediate results?
1. Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is probably the most common and yet undervalued ingredient out there, despite having amazing properties and being essential to your hair’s care routine and very accessible price-wise. Its natural antibacterial helps removing dandruff while being more gentle than the shampoos we are used with that have the same purpose. Its alpha-hydroxy acid – malic acid content, makes it a gentle natural exfoliator, removing all the build-up on roots. No more greasy hair!
Thanks to its acidic base, it also can balance the ph of your scalp, closing open cuticles and prevent breakage. And the best part? It’s easy to use. Just mix 2 tablespoons of vinegar with 500 ml of water (there is no exact recipe) and rinse slowly after shampooing. Wait a few seconds, up to a minute, rinse with clear water then follow with conditioner. Don’t worry about your bathroom and hair smelling like salad dressing, by the time your hair is dry and you see how shiny and soft it is, the smell will go away.
2. Garlic
Have you ever struggled to grow your nails? Or you found the solution but is quite pricy? And most of all, you feel that strong nails are a myth? Well, garlic won’t agree with you.
There are plenty of benefits when including garlic in your diet, and you can take even supplements to avoid the strong smell. This unfortunately won’t give you results overnight, for that to happen ASAP, you need to do it the hard way. Cut a clove of garlic in two, and simply rub it on your nails and cuticles, leave the juice on your nails for 5 minutes or so, then rinse it well.
The base of this process is to get the juice on your nails and massage it slowly. Some people like to grind the clove but I find it harder to remove the smell if doing so. After rising well with warm water, you can use coffee ( natural exfoliator) to massage your hands again and also to remove/reduce the smell. Do this process once a week, and the results will show, and boy, they will last. The rest, well, it’s history!
3. Olive Oil
Another common ingredient that has amazing health benefits, but we are not going to get into these today, will do wonders for both your skin and hair. DIY hair masks are everywhere, from YouTube and blogs to TikTok and lucky for us, they continue to grow in popularity, as they continue to impress rather than disappoint, beauty gurus, and people everywhere. But the thing is, simply applying oil on your hair won’t do the trick, it doesn’t matter with what you mix it. As I’m always trying and testing new masks, I discovered that the actual results are visible only when you warm it up a bit, apply it gently on the length of your hair, massage slowly, and put a warm towel on top. You can wait as little as 30 minutes but more than often people forget completely about it and end up sitting with it for two hours. It’s not a bad thing, but, if you have greasy hair and haven’t tried yet the vinegar remedy, this will only build-up more. So, just to be on the safe side, avoid the roots as much as you can. You have to shampoo and condition as normal, rinse well and tap slowly your hair with a dry towel. Another important step is to put your hair in a bun while still dumpy, and you will get shiny and bouncy hair for sure.
