Indian Medical Student Crowned Miss World 2017. The win makes her the sixth Indian to win the competition putting the country level with Venezuela for most wins. The competition was held in Sanya, China.
The 20-year-old is currently studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery. Her ambition is to open a chain of non-profitable hospitals based in rural areas.
Manushi has a passion for outdoor sports and actively participates in paragliding, bungee jumping, snorkelling and scuba diving.
She is a trained Indian Classical dancer and enjoys sketching and painting. Personal Motto: ‘When you cease to dream you cease to live.’
On the Miss World website Manushi says, ‘Courage to give flight to your dreams and the ability to believe in yourself makes life worth living’, Manushi says.
118 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico crowned her successor Manushi Chhillar of India at the end of the event.
The runner up was Mexico’s Andrea Meza followed by England’s Stephanie Hill in third place.
