Bayonetta is back and better than ever on Nintendo Switch. With both the original and sequel launching together later this month on the young hybrid console, the Switch versions of the games don’t feature too many noticeable differences from the original — but trust me, that’s a good thing.
By far the most significant change for the Switch versions of Bayonetta 1 & 2 is the frame rate – with both games running at a locked 60 fps. Both games still run at a native 720p. However, the upgrade in hardware allows each to reach a much smoother frame rate while playing both docked and undocked. It’s a much-welcomed improvement over the Wii U versions, which ran at 30 fps.
Bayonetta 2 is an action-adventure hack ‘n’ slash video game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Nintendo for Wii U and Nintendo Switch. It is the sequel to the 2009 game Bayonetta, and was directed by Yusuke Hashimoto and produced by Atsushi Inaba and Nintendo’s Hitoshi Yamagami, under supervision by series creator Hideki Kamiya.
Bayonetta 2 was announced in a Nintendo Direct presentation on September 13, 2012. Unlike the Sega-published Bayonetta, which was a multiplatform release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, a publishing deal with Nintendo meant that Bayonetta 2 released as a platform-exclusive for Wii U. The titular character, Bayonetta, sports a new costume and hairstyle and the game itself features a new two-player mode. The game is also the second Bayonetta product to receive Japanese voiceovers, using the same cast that voiced the Bayonetta: Bloody Fate anime film by Gonzo.
Bayonetta 2 was released in September 2014 in Japan and October 2014 for the rest of the world. The Special and First Print Editions of the game included a Wii U port of the original Bayonetta as a separate disc inside the case. The game received critical acclaim from many reviewers, praising the combat system and overall improvements from the first game.
Nintendo Switch ports of both games, and a sequel, Bayonetta 3, were announced on December 7, 2017 during The Game Awards 2017.

The Devil May Cry HD Collection will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC giving new fans an updated taste of the popular franchise.
Capcom announced on its blog recently that all subscribers of Amazon Prime and Twitch Prime will be eligible to download the original Devil May Cry from February 27, after which you’ll be able to download the game via the Twitch desktop app.
Devil May Cry is a hack and slash video game series developed by Capcom and created by Hideki Kamiya. Originally intended to be a sequel in Capcom’s Resident Evil series, in development it became such a radical departure from the series’ style that it was developed into a new property entirely.
The series centers on the main character Dante’s goal of avenging his mother’s murder by exterminating demons. The gameplay consists of heavy combat scenes in which the player must attempt to extend long chains of attacks while avoiding damage in order to exhibit stylized combat; this element along with time and the number of items collected and used are taken under consideration when grading the player’s performance.
The series has been a success with the first three games selling multiple million copies and being awarded the “Platinum Title” award by Capcom and the series has sold more than ten million copies worldwide.

The Evil Within 2 Update Adds First-Person Mode
The Evil Within 2 will now let you play through the entire game in first-person mode.
The Evil Within 2 will now let you play through the entire game in first-person with a new update release. The first-person mode is optional and can be activatedethrough the in-game menu on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
“A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game’s situations through Sebastian’s eyes, it’s a really neat experience,” said Tango Gameworks producer Shinsaku Ohara. “I think exploring Union in first-person makes the scale feel even bigger than it does when you’re in third-person. Also, being able to see our environments and enemies up close allows players to get an even better look at how much effort went into their designs.”
The Evil Within 2 is a third-person survival horror video game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was released worldwide in October 2017, and is the sequel to the 2014 video game The Evil Within.
The game received generally positive reviews; like its predecessor, it received praise for its visuals, atmosphere, and gameplay but received some criticism for its story and characters.
The game takes place three years after the events at Beacon Mental Hospital, Sebastian Castellanos has left the Krimson City Police Department to uncover the truth about the mysterious organization MOBIUS.
Similar to its predecessor, the game is a survival horror game. Played from a third-person perspective, the player assumes control of detective Sebastian Castellanos, who must descend into the world of Union to rescue his daughter, Lily. There are three difficulty modes, namely Casual, which producer Shinji Mikami recommends, Survival, and Nightmare, the latter setting being recommended for players who enjoyed the difficulty curve in the previous game.
The game came in second place each for “Best Publisher” with Bethesda Softworks and for “Best Horror Game” at the Global Game Awards 2017; and was nominated for “Best Action Game” in PC Gamer’s 2017 Game of the Year Awards.

EA Satisfied With FIFA Switch Sales Says Nintendo
The Switch has continued to impress gamers with its unique platform and strong gaming lineup.
According to Nintendo France, EA is “satisfied” with the sales performance of FIFA 18 on the Switch console.
Philippe Lavoué – general manager of Nintendo France – said that FIFA 18 on the Switch was a “test match” for EA, which is satisfied with the result.
The game has sold 73,000 physical units in France, and Lavoué expects the game to sell twice that amount with the upcoming World Cup in Russia.
FIFA 18 is the second instalment in the series to use the Frostbite 3 game engine, although some versions of the game use a different game engine. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions include a continuation of “The Journey” a story-based mode that was originally in FIFA 17 entitled “The Journey: Hunter Returns”. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, known as FIFA 18: Legacy Edition, do not contain any new gameplay features aside from updated kits and rosters.
The console shipped nearly three million in the first month of its launch, exceeding Nintendo’s initial projection of two million, and within a year of release achieved over 14 million units sold worldwide, outselling total lifetime sales of the Wii U. It is the fastest-selling console in Nintendo’s history, and is the fastest-selling console of all time in Japan and the United States.
Nintendo Switch sales were highly tied to the critically acclaimed titles The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, which became best-sellers for the system, with over six million and nine million copies sold respectively by the end of 2017.
