Following the underwhelming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) many fans were left disappointed with director Zack Snyder’s last offering.
With Justice League Snyder has addressed those shortcomings to produce a thrilling and entertaining showing of these DC superheroes with a good blend of action and humour.
Inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Batman) calls on new ally Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) to battle an even bigger threat.
The pair enlist the help of fellow superheroes Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Victor Stone) and The Flash (Barry Allen) with each character bringing a unique presence to the screen.
The plot is very basic lacking any depth even for a movie of this genre and some of the CGI looks a little out of place in some scenes.
Even though the action sequences were impressive some of the CGI being far too over-the-top particularly in the final battle scene.
The musical score for the movie was solid and although some of the scores could have been better overall it worked for the movie but didn’t meet the level set by previous films in the genre.
Although it doesn’t quiet reach the level expected of it, Zack Snyder does manage to deliver an exciting new chapter in the DC universe that leaves the door open for more to come.
