It has been a volatile week for Bitcoin.
On Thursday the digital currency reached nearly $16,900 and breaking $17,000 on some exchanges then saw a big correction on Friday. The week before the value of the cryptocurrency was below $10,000.
According to Coindesk which measures the average value of the cryptocurrency based on the four most popular exchanges, Bitcoin recovered the $17,000 mark on Monday reaching an-all time high as the cryptocurrency continued it’s phenomenal surge.
Chicago-based Cboe Global Markets (CBOE) launched the bitcoin futures market on Sunday, while the world’s largest futures exchange, CME (CME), is set to launch its futures product the following week.
